Apparently from BT technical department, reporting of people interfering with my internet, foreign accent. Told them I would contact my local BT office, did not appear to like that, then I just hung up.
This was an automated voice saying they were Amazon and I had been charged £95 for their Prime service - press one if I wanted to speak with someone or 2 if.... I had the same call from a different number the previous day and from a withheld number earlier this afternoon. This is obviously a scam of some sort.
Automated call this call was a recorded message saying about bank security and that transactions have taken place if its not the case to press either 1 or 2. I've had so many of these and know it's a scam. My elderly brother went all the way through to speak to someone and realised at the last minute it was a scam so put the phone down but it worried him so much he rang his bank to make sure everything was alright. It was.

This number keeps ringing my son's phone but he doesn't answer it because he doesn't know who it is.
Call center maybe. Rings two to four times a every day even on Sunday for a number of months. Today three phone calls from whoever and it's 13:11, so I suspect there will be more today as this phone number rings me in the afternoon and evening too, even 9pm.

Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).

It was a recorded message with a very polite womans voice stating she was from bank security advising that there was two suspicious transactions from my account one was £300 pound from Amazon and the other was a card transaction from abriad of £1300. This is my number, my initials are MM and I live in London E14. It seems spam callers are using it as a cover (via computer generated calls) in order to get you to answer. If you do not know me, please do not call back. It is a real nuisance. I suppose it is happening to others as well
