lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. The representative of a bank, but not my bank wanted to advise me. He also went simply from the fact that I am with the said bank. I will not mention the name because I think that the man does not really work for the bank. It all sounded very much like sales pitch.

They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. SCAM / SPAM I received an automated voice call from this number at 12:31, supposedly from Amazon Prime informing me that over £70 had been deducted for my membership and I should press "1" to speak to someone to discuss this. I hung up. I am not a member of Amazon Prime and have had calls like this before. I expect if I had spoken to someone, they would have asked for my bank account details so they could cancel it.

The call is annoying. When the phone rings and goes to the answer all that is heard is white noise. The situation is such that we let all calls go the answer machine with the view that the call is for us they will leave a message

I think this was a fraud check call from Bank of Scotland that I answered and was then transferred to the customer service dept which wasn t answered promptly. I hung up, but this resulted in a 27p charge for me. Not a lot, but a good scam if you manage it for a lot of people!

Yes, l got a call from this number to say that l had been involved in a car accident. I said l hadn t, but asked who had informed them l had. She said the RTA so when l asked where the accident was, surprisingly the line went dead. Feeling bloody annoyed l called the number back, but it just said it was invalid. Not happy.

Claimed to be from my internet provider (didn't know who that was, when asked), but claimed to know that I was not getting the internet speed I should. Told him my internet was fine, thank you, whereupon he became agitated and said I had to listen to him or I would be cut off. Hung up.
