Wife received a call from this number purporting to be Amazon support, advising that they had identified a problem on her account (in this case an order for an iPhone @ £499 which was being sent to an unusual address). Before I got involved they had asked her to install TeamViewer on her phone to "help her connect to the Amazon security system". Immediately got her to uninstall, and then I asked the "security person" (who had a non-British... somewhere South of the Hima
These people have continued to hound me on my mobile number chasing a person that I do not know and despite requests to cease they continue.

Anne, the city code for London is 020 but for the number to be valid then the next digit will be 3, 7, or 8. Even then it could be a spoofed number, tho!

I received 3 succesion voicemails. Then a call which I answered, they asked me to confirm security, when asked why should I confirm security if you calle dme they said "Proceedure". This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass. Associated numbers are 08000148950, 08000148960, 02034567894, 02034535242, 02034535243, 02034535244, 02034535245, 02034535246, 02034535247, 02034535248. Block them all!

SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person
