Fraud SCAM Fraud Claimed to be from Vodaphone, said that an attempt to change my account number had been flagged up, called my number to verify with an old address (first flag) Second flag was when I asked if I could have a verification email I received a what amounted to a "yes but hurry up and give me the number" And of course, when I received a recovery/account change text, the first words of said text were DO NOT TELL ANYONE THIS NUMBER, POLICE OR VODAPHONE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED. I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.

Received a call purporting to be US (?) customs regarding outstanding tax, threatening legal action and suggesting press 1. All the evidence was a scam but potentially dangerous as having connected all personal data might be at risk

stated was a legal copany wanting to deal with personal injury claim. Hadd loads of details about accident. Told caller that already in hands of solicitors and broke off conversation. Wonder where they get the information from?

If this was my bank they would identify themselves as such, and offer data to prove this. This is likely a scam, and best thing to do is hang up. A genuine caller would then call you back, and actually speak with you. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE JUST HANG UP

Foreigh accent, claimed that an investment I had made (I haven't!) in a company (that I've never heard of) has made profit and he can help get me the money. Told him this was obviously a scam so he said "Why you think so?". I told him because I'm not an idiot and he obviously is to think I'd fall for it, then hung up. Blocked.

I received a call from this number claiming to be O2 but they tried to reset my account information I ended the call and called O2 to confirm it was in fact a fraud caller

Fraud. Got a call I didn't answer. They left a voice mail it wasn't a person it sounded like a generic message. It said there was something wrong with my financial account and then said I'll be arrested ( they spelt out the word arrested) I have 2 phones the one they rang is the one I use for fam/ friends it's not the one attached to any of my bank account/ online shopping. There is absolutely no reason any business should have that number.
