Call was a recorded message saying that I had 2 transactions off £750 off my Credit card this morning if this was not you press 1. I didn't do it but I did check with my accounts and it appears to be a scam. As they didnt say which Credit company either. Plus surely they wouldn't use a mobile phone either. They would use land line to ring from. Plus an email or text.

SPAM The number seems completely bogus because they called me, and I tried calling them back twice or a number of times first of all withholding my number, and then I tried it from a regular number showing it, and there was no answer either. It just said the number was unavailable. So I suspect this is totally bogus. Very annoying because I've been getting quite a few spam calls lately and they are all blocked. Indian chap, allegedly from Carphone Warehouse. Said I could have a 5g phone with 80Gb of data, etc., for £7 a month. Sounded too good to be true, which means it probably is, so I passed. He then complained that I had wasted his time! I guess his next move would have been to ask for my bank details! Avoid!

Asked if I was still a tenant or in housing association and that they were something to do with housing repair service. I advised I was a homeowner, so she apologised and agreed to take my number off their list. I've no idea if they are legit or not.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO
They were telling me that Amazon had taken money from my account and were trying to get my bank details.
