Ebay scam: you've allegedly purchased an expensive item which will be sent to a Manchester address. This number is the "ebay " assistance in case of problems etc.

Concerns about this number on answer I got a long pause then a bleep then a automated voice say goodbye

Call centre spam / scam. Said she was from a company called MEA (I think). Claiming there was an issue with a life insurance policy, so there would be a problem with a payout. I don't know the company or have a policy with them.

SCAM recorded message that bt internet was being closed and to press 1 or 2 to speak to bt customer service to prevent.

Called my mobile but rang off without leaving a message. Typical spam call so blocked.

SCAM used to work for this company we were essentially paid to call elderly customers and lie to them that we were Dyson and miele and they had to pay for mandatory vacuum servicing etc, they would push us to sell to those with dementia because they could charge more and service more frequently awful company.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand.
