Clearly reading from a set script, asking about my home improvements - when firmly pushed, said the 'company' was "Homes Advice". Call appears to be from North of Manchester, nowhere near me. received letter saying had won ?825,000.00 and to ring this number. Did not ring as letter said a "processing fee" had to be paid in order to get "winnings". SCAM. Sent letter back in their envelope telling them to "f**k off".
I answered the phone but never spoke/ It was a recorded message with a woman telling me she d heard I d been in a car accident that wasn t my fault. Not true. My number is registered with TPS so I don t know why I m getting these calls

This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.

I used ring back - not a good idea on reflection. The male voice asked my name and so I asked his. He said "Roger". I felt this was a bit inadequate and so asked again at which point he got stroppy: "I ve told you". I hung up.

Automated message purportedly from VISA about a £600 debit on my account about 10.17am Mon 15 Mar, 2021. Their phone number (sourced from 1471) shares the same first 8 digits with two numbers featured on this site: 211 and 212. This implies that the company behind this scam has purchased a string of phone numbers. Surely, it can't be beyond the wit of the authorities to close them down.
