claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. Someone claiming to be from BT saying my internet had been compromised. They knew my name and address. When I accused them of being a criminal they replied "Of course I'm not, you idiot". Any doubts I had about their authenticity vanished at that point!

They try and get you to talk about some incident they can help you with, but I don t they have any real data. When I asked again where she got the data from, she hung up.

Settled accident claim (9 months ago, not my fault, no physical injury sustained by me) and eventually accepted small payout after being hounded by solicitors. I imagine they are just random calling after accessing insurance claim/accident data from an unethical source!! Had 3 calls on same day from different unknown / nuisance numbers! Stinks!
I ve been called daily by this number but I have a call blocker on my android phone called "Truecaller" (I am not a salesman) which filtered it straight away. It does have apps but is very effective for nuisance callers. Hope this helps.
