SCAM Call received today 15th Feb 2021. Computerised call. Pretended to be from HMRC and that my name was recorded as a tax fraud and a warrant would be issued against me if I didn't press 1 now. I am an accountant in practice who has dealt with the HMRC for 30 years. This a SCAM. The HMRC will never call you like this on such matters. If you do owe money to HMRC only pay them through the secure channels listed on the government website and ensure it is your reference you are making the payment against.

Had Phone call from this number regarding Electrical System Insurance. When I said that I already had it, the female caller said 'I know and it is £180.00 per annum and because you have not claimed for three years we are going to reduce it'. Pressing 9 does not remove number from the call list, pressed 5 instead to speak to an operator (Scott) who promptly put the phone down when I politely tried to have my number removed, redialing the number gets you a recorded message stating the call was sales related and nothing to worry about!

Fraud - This is a National Insurance scam where you are asked to press 1 - DO NOT PRESS 1 - CUT THEM OFF AND BLOCK THE NUMBER. It's an automated message that says your National Insurance number is about to be blocked for various illegal activities and if you don't act now one of their officers will be round the arrest you.
