My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Fraud. Got a call I didn't answer. They left a voice mail it wasn't a person it sounded like a generic message. It said there was something wrong with my financial account and then said I'll be arrested ( they spelt out the word arrested) I have 2 phones the one they rang is the one I use for fam/ friends it's not the one attached to any of my bank account/ online shopping. There is absolutely no reason any business should have that number.

How this has been given a safe rating is beyond me!! Claim they are from O2 and send a code and then ask for it. They will then proceed to send you a phone by mistake and ring you back in a panic and say they sent it to you by mistake and can you send it back to them. Just hang up!!

Called claiming to be from a utility company. They were very pushy and wouldn't listen when they were told they had the wrong person. I asked them to remove mu details from their system but they continue to call at least 8 times a day. I have blocked the number but then it goes straight to my answerphone and all I get silent messages with the sound of people laughing in the background.
Calls saying HMRC fraud line & you will be prosecuted if you don't hold the line.

Number rang me, when I answered it then started ringing. Essentially very likely SPAM that is mass calling numbers and then connecting you with an operator if you answer. I didn't hold on to find out. Some cheek, SPAMing me the getting me to wait for an agent..

Potential Scam - I got a Whatsapp message from this number telling me they were looking to recruit me and that they got my number through LinkPoint (I had never signed up with them). On LinkPoint's website, it says not to respond to any Whatsapp messages as they are not from them.

The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! These are computer generated calls sniffing out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else, then the line will be logged as 'a VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back later by some con-artist! If your phone rings and you don't recognize the number calling you, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anything & the line goes dead then you've just successfully escaped being scammed!
SCAM - Claiming I ordered an iPhone 13 through Amazon, decided to play along. He requested that I put him on speaker phone so he could run through filling a form in. Asked for him to send it through email, he said I (as in myself) am not authorised for email, whatever that means. I queried again that I assume I will be notified through email, and for some reason continued to state I am not authorised. I can't believe the guy actually thought I would enter a random URL in to fill in a form, must be nuts!
