First they called tried to confirm that the were speaking to the person they were calling for. Annoyingly they would read back my address. Then they would ask if they could do a short survey. another time they have an Indian accent and sometimes they have an English accent. Sometimes Indian man. Had two calls, allegedly from this number, today. Pre-recorded message as Rachel above, about HMRC filing a law suit against me.
think SCAM said fraud HMRC, pre recorded phone call.
SCAM. I've had a text on my mobile, purporting to be from Iceland (Frozen food shop) saying that my 'order' is being delivered between 11am and 1pm. but that they've had to make changes, and I should check my emails to see details. Obviously, there is NOTHING in my emails. I have NOT made an order. I do not shop online. Minutes later, I received another text from them, with a different delivery time, and this time, a phone number. I'm not calling the number. I've never had any scams on my mobile before.

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years.
