Just received a scam called about Amazon Prime
Fraud A man with a heavy accent told me that someone tried to draw money from my account. He did not give a bank name or anything else. I asked him to repeat his first phrase that came without a greeting or any other polite introduction. Not his name, not an organisation. I interrupted him to tell him that I knew exactly what kind of fraud he was trying on me and he broke the connection at once. The number seems to be in the Manchester area.

Keep phoning mobile but I don't answer. If it was anyone important, they'd known to use my landline, as I only have a mobile phone for emergencies, with only family and friends who have this number.

Caller asked me if I remember the car accident I’d had? Well, unless I’m concussed and / or lost my memory as a result of it … then no, I can’t remember it due to not actually having an accident. An Asian (oriental) sounding voice speaking barely understandable pigeon English. I'm from Portugal and today someone tried to reach me on my mobile phone from this number. I've been to the UK but not recently and I have only one relative the and she didn't tried to contact me. Therefore I think this it was a phishing call. Be ware!
Missed call Rang for a long time did not recognise the number so checked here first, glad I did. I guessed it was dodgy call looks like I was right.
Ok seems like this number has called people starting on 23March 2023. As do not no anyone in Dagestan or Russia for that matter i did not answer. They left no voicemail as regards why they phoned so treating it as a scam and blocked it.

SCAM Heavily accented man called 'Peter' from BT ringing about my internet service being interrupted.
Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!
My policy is this - I never answer calls from private or with held numbers, and if a number shows up, but is not listed on my phone I still won`t answer the caller. My phone is for my use, not others to maybe scam call me.
