This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

Called this number back & she claimed to be from HMRC who apparently have served me with two warrants around miscalculation of Tax. They apparently called at my home on two occasions during lockdown when I was home and not allowed to leave me house. She was very plausible, giving me a name, badge number and warrant ref numbers. Recorded message stating it was from Amazon telling me my iPhone 7 (yes 7) was being shipped and to press 1 for further information. Got an Asian woman thanking me for calling Amazon with my query, I strung her along for a while before disconnecting, Dangerous.

The grammar and punctuation told me it wasn’t my son as he never uses punctuation. Very dodgy My son and myself are in the UK the map shows this number is Russian origin. Beware

Agent called about investment after viewing and signing up from an oliver james website.
Didn’t bother answering as I didn’t know the number and presumed it was another scam call
Claimed to be a company called ESS. They said that they were aware that I had a boiler over 10 years old and that they were agents for Zanussi. When I told them that the number was registered with the TPS, the call was disconnected.
Mega noisy background, clearly call center, did not introduce herself, wanted to share information about a company. told her not interested and not to call me again and ended the call.
