Rang twice, then hung up

Had several missed calls from this number in Cambridge. He said he had good news maybe and was i in a minor road traffic accident recently. When I said no, he hung up. clearly fishing, spoke rapidly, was in a noisy room and on reflection seemed rather dodgy.

Almost certainly a scam call. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER TRY TO RETURN A CALL to an unknown number and NEVER PRESS A...

I initially ignored their calls but I am glad I answered a call in the end. They helped me locate an old workplace pension that I had two decades ago. I hadn t given the pension much thought since I left the job. I couldn t of afforded hundreds of pounds to pay a financial advisor so they really helped me out. I do understand people being annoyed about the cold calling though.

They ve just phoned my mobile at 9pm leaving message to call them back. Googled the name Westcote and their number and found this page and comments. No money owed to best of my knowledge but went bankrupt 6 years ago (cleared after 12 months). Nothing outstanding. Their phone number now blocked thanks to info on here. Cheers

I get a call from this number every around 8.15am. When I answer it cuts off. Googled the number and found out its Sigma Red. I don t have any debts so guessing they have the wrong number. Going so see if I can block it on my landline
