Untrustworthy scale - 10! Computer scam! Have been called at least five times in as many days. Different person each time (one time a woman, the rest were men). Some VERY aggressive. Have told them in no uncertain terms (!) that I know it is a scam and that they are NOT calling from Microsoft and requested they never call my number again. It doesn t stop them though - there are too many of them calling from this number to have any kind of a system. They just don t care. Surely this land line number can b
... and here I thought the TPS exists to block such annoying calls. instead someone offers me 1000 pound voucher and asks for my kitchen s age. least we forget that this happens a couple if times each day. bloody w**kers ! well, methinks I ll report them to the police under the Protection from Harrassment Act 1997.

Fraud Caller claimed to have my dog when I clearly don't have a dog. Said that my number was on its collar.
This number (01733 347007) is from a scammer. The guy claims to be from the fraud department of my bank and someone tried to change my bank account address but couldn't pass the security check. Hence his call to notify me. He knows my name, address, phone number and the bank that I have an account. I only caught it as I asked him about the phone number that he was calling from. I said I will call the bank directly, then he starts swearing, etc. Be aware of the criminals.
Said they were from Virgin, and that they'd picked up drops in wifi. As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm). They asked if I was owner of number and bill payer of internet phone line, said no it was for work, and where had they got number, and they hung up.

Recorded message claiming to be BT telling me that my Broadband was about to be discontinued due to privacy issues in my area.
SCAM number showed as 01942794042 however, it was definitely from a call centre and the female voice started the call with "thank-you for connecting with BT" which seemed odd. Turns out it was one of those dodgy activity on your internet connection calls - as usual I denied having and internet connection a mobile phone and even a landline. Loft insulation. Had several phone calls this week from various numbers starting 02033669. I answered this before it went to answer phone (no messages left when connected to it on previous calls) and got a load of waffle about loft insulation problems. "We have a list of properties ............ " "Well you can remove mine" and I ended call.
I called NatWest on their official telephone banking number who confirmed that this is an automated fraud prevention text alert. It was used to verify a suspicious transaction on my account with a simple Yes or No reply to the text. They state they will never ask for personal details on a text. Genuine number.
SCAM / SPAM Rang by Victoria who asked if I was in a car accident. I got put through to a call centre almost as soon as I picked up. Call centre asked if I had been in an accident (If I 'hadn't', why would I have been put through). The line then went dead after 1 min 13. Rang back and it said I could be charged on the number.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!
