They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Posed as Amazon, claiming that £90 had been removed from my account. Was initially an automated message, when I pressed 1 to speak to someone they said: "Hi there, how can I help!?" I replied "Well, I don't know, you called me!" and they hung up!

Lady with strong Indian Accent from Virgin Media technical said that hackers had got into my router (a hidden problem that affected other users too, not just me), and wanted to check it for me. I confirmed independently by dialling 150 and entereling my password. I was told that no technician had called my phone today, so it was either a phishing call or some attempt to gain control of my online device(s).
