A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.

I ve been called 5 times today from this number. The caller is difficult to understand in a heavy Asian/Indian accent. Different approach each time he calls, the first time telling me he was from British Gas your electricity provider and wanting to renew my contract, (i m with another company) so I asked him to stop calling and please remove me from his calling list, he just carried on with his spiel so i put phone down. Received a text claiming to be from online retailer VERY regarding new stock of Xbox Series X for pre-order asking me to reply YES before 2200GMT 10/11/2020 if i'm interested in re-ordering from them. Contacted VERY customer services and queried the number to which they stated that it is legitimate and if replied YES to, I will receive a phone call to organise re-ordering or the console. Unsure how legitimate this is though.

We have had 5 calls from this number this week. Husband challenged them why he was calling and was given a load of abuse. Don t know if this has anything to do with it but we recently changed providers from Sky to Plusnet, also we were bombarded with calls like this a few years back when we switched from BT to Sky.the timeing just seams a bit odd
