Had a call at 1221 today, 12 Jan 17 but caller left no message, so obviously a scam/spoof/marketing call. Tried ringing the number back but got a Sky Voicemail Service. Tried calling the number again at 1530 this afternoon, only to have an automated message saying the Voicemailbox was full & could not take any more messages. SPAM Caller asked if I was over 50, used a cane or walking aid, said I was eligible for medical alert. Started giving me blurb about how many people of my age going into care home etc. Asked why he was contacting me. Said his boss gives him a list of people over 50 with medical conditions. He hung up when I asked what medical condition that would be. Might be wrong but sounded like a scammer looking to target for elderly people with health problems. Grateful it wasn't my elderly mother that he called.

lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. Persistence caller, rings around 4 times a day at different times, even though my answer machine takes most of the calls they keep calling. Today I answered it & they are asking for the person that used to have my number over 22 years ago so I know that they are working from old telephone books etc. Just told them that they had the wrong number so hopefully that will stop now! Scammer called Simon. Says he is a local energy advisor but is actually many miles distant.

This number just rang my phone, I said hello, they then hung up on me. Agreed with Adam that they want you to phone them back. Found out that it is a charge of 45p-62p per minute to ring back. Also found out it is an individual not a company hoping you will phone him/her back and in doing so they will make him/herself a nice monthly income at your expense.
