The number is fake. London numbers don t start with a 1 after the city code of 020, although there is a real payday loan company called Lending Stream.

This is a NHS reminder call for a hospital appointment 2 weeks ahead of date. They woke me up at 10pm when I had just fallen asleep so are a nuisance call. They call several time before the date of appointment, they are a nuisance.

Scam - Automated voice told me my NI number had been compromised in North Wales. Press 1 and a person answered with an english accent. I just hung up.

I m receiving calls from Red Star Financial Management on a weekly basis now. Often twice a week. It s the usual robocalls: My phone rings (either my landline of my smartphone), I answer it, a recorded voice comes on to say, "Please wait while an adviser attends your call", and most times some poor young loser introducing him or herself from Red Star Financial Management asks questions about a bank loan I may have taken out in the 17th century. Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you.
