As a person who works in the It industry I can tell you that these people are not qualified to be "Microsoft certified technicians. They lack the knowledge and expertise. They are extremely persistent about these" hackers" and "viruses" when most of them probably don t exist in the first place. As the other guy said, play around with them. It s fun!

very aggressive and rude when person they wanted to speak to unavailable. Said they had spoken to him before (untrue). Young adult at home at the time answered phone and was asked for detailed information about person they wanted to speak to. Fortunately another adult nearby took over call. Upsetting and intrusive.

I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. I phoned the number and gave up after 57 minute being on hold. I had a guarded conversation with the caller who, as mentioned above, was calling on behalf of the RSPCA. Apparently he wanted to confirm details for Gift Aid purposes, which raised suspicion in my mind as there are always boxes to tick when completing donation forms for any charity. He did have my name and postcode already and was very polite, but clearly working from a script. I have not ever donated by text.
