Called my son saying they were from HMRC wanting a payment and to press number 1, he didn't as knew this wasn't HMRC, as it's for a Dental practice in London. Obviously it's a fraudulent company using their number via the Web.

Claimed to be from EE wanting to talk about upgrades told them I was with Vodafone then told me "ok I can transfer you to the Vodafone department" uhm... nope guessing scam
Caller said they were from "Microsoft Corporation". They asked for information about my computer, telling me that they knew there was a problem. I kept them talking by asking questions. The caller got angrier and told me that they would be "seeing me tomorrow" before ringing off.

SCAM robo call saying that there has been possible fraudulent activity on my bank account. When I questioned them they refused to say what bank they were, and that they were the 'fraud department'. They got angry so I called them out as the scammer they are and according to the scammer all UK people are idiots. Have reported it to action fraud.

Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.
I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. Called claiming to be from PDM in relation to easyspace. about a domain that is up for sale and as a loyal customer of theirs we are given first refusal. used company directors as names which are easily accessible. I said i would pass on to manager and call back. as a small company, I know who our domain providers are. when looked up the domain they mentioned, it is registered until 2023. believe this could be a scam looking to register fake domains.
