I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. I had a phone call from this number today (25/02/2022-17:17) (0161-520-1872 !!!) The person on the line asked for me by name. Which seem very odd to me. As this is a number that I did not know. And told me that he calling to ask if my home had any damaged from the recent bad weather we have had. When I then asked him on how he got my personal number. This was a call from a call tariff firm wanting to increase its network it is a cold call and has obtained my number via a sale from other companies I have blocked the number and asked the company to remove me from their call lists immediately this is the second call i have had from a similar number and I asked the last called to remove my number also this did not happen the 1st Time - I will see if it happens again.

But the 121 message service only catches the end of the message which asks you to press now to avoid court proceedings. Therefore this appears to be a Scam and the number should be treated with extreme caution. This is the second time in a few days I have been targeted and the number also had 07738 prefix but followed by 207964

If you get a quote from Compare the Market or Money Supermarket, they are in partnership with Life Search who deal with the enquiries, not a scam in any way shape or form, amazes me how quickly people shout SCAM! – I actually got a great deal from them, they were very professional and cheaper then most.
SCAM - they were trying to offer to switch my phone contract to get a new iPhone. I had to ask repeatedly for them to remove me from their calling list before they listened and said goodbye. Number is now blocked.
Called to say you can upgrade your phone got no idea who they were!!!
