They phone me almost every day. They never leave a message and I am not in a job where I can just answer the phone without having to think about others. SCAM / SPAM Phoned me asking details about a car accident compensation claim, they knew my name and address Probably a Phishing SCAM looking for more details, asked to speak with the supervisor and they hung up. As a Three mobile customer with a brand new number who doesn't share my anything on social media and is very wary of who has my number I suspect the Indian call center staff who work at Three is selling my details no other people have my details.
An automated call but it tries to sound real by responding to your questions. Was trying to sell life insurance/funeral cover. Most likely a scam of some sort.
If you receive a cold call from an organisation you don t know, just take as many details as you can, even if it s just the number and time of call and report it the Information Commissioner s Office (ICO) via this link https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ If enough people do this these companies will be fined - sometime pushing them out of business - and we can all enjoy owning a private phone again.
