I took on my phone number in January and the previous holder of the number is being sought by these people. They call up to five times a day and despite me advising EVERY SINGLE FKNG TIME that I am not who they are looking for and even having written to their complaints department, the calls don t stop. I m absolutely sick to the back teeth of them.

Even though I m TPS registered I keep getting calls (often many times a day) from the same company leaving the message "Everyone now also qualifies for solar panels and external wall insulation. We are UK based and government approved, so press 2 now to speak to an adviser for free." Not always from the same number but always the same message. Just took a call from this number - they asked for me by name and then said I had recently entered a competition and thats how they got my number and they wanted to save me money on my power supplier - I politely explained I wasnt the bill payer and wasn t interested. The guy then demanded to speak to the bill payer - I told him they are not available and not interested. He then went on a rant at me - at which point I hung up and blocked the number. Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.
