He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. Called knew all my details and just asked questions about what paper I read. Brand of car. Internet gas and electric suppliers ect asking if I was interested in call backs to save money ect
make sure you report them to the ICO - it only takes a few minutes and if everyone does this these firms will all be closed down

Tries a scam on your phone number. When I blocked the number, started pestering me on face time. I am registered on TPS, never opt in etc. Couple of weeks ago upgraded with Vodafone and then these scam calls all start up again. Ofcom should tackle the source.
