Been called at 5:45 and when picked up automated voice asked me to enter my card details and press the pound key to confirm!!

Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. Stoke-On-Trent number calls then when i pick up and say hello they put they hang up rang twice in the last 4 hours.

1471 revealed the number. Message on my answerphone about PPI.

I recieve calls on a daily basis from this number regarding payment protection insurance. seems to be automated since the previous call come from a different 0844 number. Odd.
