Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.

Kept ringing today and refused to say who they were.
usual pakistani,muslim sounding scammer claiming to be from solicitors. for some reason he didnt take too kindly to the barrage of verbal abuse from me and eventually took the hint after calling back 5 times in rapid succession for more of the same treatment. sometimes its just nice to be able to unload your abuse at someone who cant complain about you. :)

Be careful. I believe this is phishing cold calling because they didn’t even know my name. Any real fraud cases, especially financially motivates would be done properly. Automated voice call saying my internet connection will be dissconected in 4 hours due to the router being faulty and I should contact my service provider for a replacement. Asked me to press button 1, which i did not do of course. Suspect if i did it would route to a fake call center.
robot voice claiming to be from Amazon. Request to press 1 to proceed. Let the call hold until it dropped the call 4 minutes later. ASSUME pressing 1 then gives a large bill.

This number has rung my elderly mother claiming that she has one £50,000 and all she needed to do was transfer £400 into an account. Instantly, we knew this was a fraud. Yet they were willing to send a taxi round to my disabled mother to take her to the bank to deposit this money. SCAM
