Scam recording from my visa card Co advising 2 fraud transactions for big amts, called my card Co from no on bk of my card and no transactions have taken place, be careful all especially the elderly, try use a credit card at all times then transfer from Yr debit card to pay it, never take out he house Yr debit card, as bank don't always reimburse u for fraud, the credit card Co will if you have shown you took care reporting any suspicious activity and were careful with Yr details online. 07401878848 is a mobile phone number at an indian call centre, i traced it back through the network. Someone pretending to be from amazon stating that my details have been used to order some high value items and that to cancel it i would have to do as they instructed. They wanted remote access to my computer/tablet/phone so they could steal my data. The idiots didn't realise that they had phoned an it company. when i informed them of their mistake they hung up.

My work phone was called by this number, and got a recorded message, ostensibly from my bank, saying the two large transactions, one of which was to Amazon for £999 had been blocked, and said that I had a choice to either release the transactions or speak to a representative. This number is supposedly based in Slough, but that's not where my bank is, so I ignored it.

SCAM - very sophisticated ALERT SMS message from PayPal claiming your PAYPAL ACCOUNT logged in successfully on MAc Air from Nigeria, today at 11:50AM, If you are not accessing, contact immediately: (+44) 800-058-4020 Clearly a scammer who will answer and start phishing for personal details in order to commit fraud. AVOID!

This number 01133100118 which shows as Leeds rang me & offered to beat my network provider by 30% without knowing who i was with, 5 minutes later the same man (john) rang me again with the same offer, this time the number 01143560006 came up as Sheffield. Leeds to Sheffield in less than 5 minutes is pretty fast so i think these numbers are being spoofed from a computer.

Call was a recorded message saying that I had 2 transactions off £750 off my Credit card this morning if this was not you press 1. I didn't do it but I did check with my accounts and it appears to be a scam. As they didnt say which Credit company either. Plus surely they wouldn't use a mobile phone either. They would use land line to ring from. Plus an email or text.

This number is part of a dating fraud scam. Do NOT get sucked in. It’s a ploy to extort money. The caller is not real…. It’s fraud!!

Called me claiming someone had bought 'a smartphone' on my Amazon account. Insisted I went to 'a computer' to check my emails. Got bored and told him to f**k off.

Claimed they were from Windows Service Centre and that someone was trying to hack my computer I told them I wasnt interested and hung up They immediately rang back quoting my name and address I told them my Windows 98 computer wasnt connected to the Internet and they said I paid my Internet quarterly I replied quotfor my tabletquot The woman saw she wasnt getting anywhere and politely terminated the call

SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.
