Phone today 27/07 purporting to being doing a survey. Assumed I was a tenant and that I needed repairs doing on my property. When I asked if they were giving me money to make repairs on my property she became flustered and said sorry they were only speaking to tenants and ended call. Sounded like a young asian woman with call centre noises in background.

When subsequent callers have been asked the same question the line has 'dropped out' from the far end! Make your own decision!
Call received from a male with an Indian accent stating he was calling from Aviva, but his English was very bad and I said I couldn't understand him and asked for someone else to ring me if important. So far no response. There was a lot of chatter in the background and he didn't speak immediately when I answered the call.

It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!

My number on contract with o2 taken over by fraudster. O2 cancelled the number but it has been used in attempts to access my credit cards. Also possibly being used as a debit card app. number. Police and Action Fraud are aware.
I have never sort to buy property abroad, so I can only presume this is some sort of scam.
I had this call yesterday and told them I am not interested in a smart meter. He wanted me to confirm my name and address . They said I won't be contacted anymore. They do announce themselves to contact customers on behalf of EON and are not actually EON.I am sure eon knows about it despite they deny they use such call centres. Silent call - "Hello", then silence when asked who was calling....then phone put down. Unanswered call earlier, so they could be persistent in tracking live no's - for whatever their purpose. Did sound briefly like a live human, not a recording. No human interaction though - just the harrassment.
Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.
