Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!

SCAM. Initial silence then a voice saying that like most people in the last 10 to 20 years I probably had fibreglass loft insulation on a government scheme and now had damp and mould. He wanted to arrange a loft survey. I said I had no loft insulation and could check my own loft but he carried on. When I asked, he said he worked for “...the Insulation Advisory Line in Reading.” When I queried who had asked them to undertake a survey the call ended. I asked for their number to call back and they gave me this one. When I called it was answered with 'Hello, this is BT' Call originally came from 02089030400 which didn't pick up when I called.
