Picked up the telephone, and waited for someone to speak but they didn't, they put the phone down, so did I.
This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked
HMRC will never call you; it's a well-known scam. Ignore it and block the number if you are able.

Was relatively pushy about doing me the favour of switching my energy company and "putting money in my pocket", pretty much had to just hang up on her as she wouldn t take no for an answer. I ve now blocked the number also!
They will not stop ringing to try and sell debt management services. Reported to TPS, they weren t worried. Looked Directors address up on companies house (it s free peeps) so will deliver letter personally if it happens again.

SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.
