It is British Gas so genuine but I was trying to buy boiler servicing online and they called me during my set up. I was quite surprised. He then proceeded to try and get me to do the same on the phone BUT I preferred to do on the website for safety so declined. When I returned to finish the online forms it just redirected me to call them. I was so annoyed at manipulation I didn’t call them

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1622370xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing - classical accident chasers, RTA. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? Recorded message saying they were "your Internet Provider" (did not say which company!). Threatened to cut off my internet unless I phoned them.
