I have had 2 calls on separate days from this number. On both occasions the caller does not speak, just ends the call immediately.

I have just received a call from the same number. There was someone there but they put the phone down when I spoke.

Same SCAM again a different number (energy supplier) on no account give out any personal details. Trading Standards have already warned about this latest SCAM!

I got called by this number earlier today. In my case even though it was unsolicited, it was a welcomed call from Carphone Warehouse. I had an issue with their website and the resolved it for me.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Some idiots calling me - surely companies should be banned from this ridiculous practice. No point telling them to remove my name from your records , they don t hold records! They just buy a load of phone numbers and go through them til some mug gives them money.

Called today. Heavy Indian accent and lots of Indian voices in the background. Said he was calling from BT Tech dept....yeah ok like I believe that. I told him he was in for a big surprise as we had traced his number and would take matters further as he had reached an internal secure line at Essex police headquarters(he hadn t) but he hung up really QUICKLY. It s about time BT stopped selling blocks of numbers to scammer scum. If they don t then we, as genuine customers, should be able to sue BT.
