I think the UK regulator in the field is failing us as the public. What do they actually do? In my opinion virtual numbers and use there of including the companies that provide these numbers needs to be monitored to stop this abuse. I regard this as a data breach likely stolen. So many calls now from 020 3915 with the last 4 digits changing I suspect it is from a call centre with multiple lines. Very short rings but I don't answer numbers I don't know anyway. Getting to be a right nuisance now. Blocked yet another of these numbers!

Received call. Caller mentioned my contact details had been obtained from a publicly available data base and he could help me protect my computer. When I pressed him to provide the contact details of the database so I could correct some personal data they hold which is incorrect - which I should do under the DPA the line hung up. I suspect this is a scam.
