This number has called twice now. Can't comment on who or what it is because my landline phone range once each time! No doubt it is some unsolicited spam or similar.

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Just hang up as there is no identification to suggest they are real and there are no confirmed names or card details to ensure it is you or your card. I had a call from this number yesterday the caller said he was from British Gas to arrange a service I wasnt convinced that he was genuine and I asked him how I could be sure that he was from British Gas he immediately hung up Although this is a genuine BG number scammers can mimic numbers to make it look like the call is legitimate I will log into my British Gas account when I want to book my HomeCare service

Call from Amazon. Told to go online and check emails because somebody was taking £700 from my account. I said no and rang off. Called again wanting to know why I rang off and to get on the computer. I said no again but wouldn't take no for an answer I asked why not using Amazon number it was because it was a security number. Told unless I did as asked, payment would go ahead. I said OK go ahead.Told to be sure as call recorded. 'Good I replied, then you are also recorded. They rang off.
