She came out with some rubbish about me being on a government data base that said I had a credit card - what bloody business it of hers? Asked if I was "Colin Shuttleworth". When I said no the man made a noise as if it was ME who had inconvenienced him.
Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.
Just hang up on them, they are trying to get at any pension fund you may have.
