Phoned my business mobile this afternoon (16.47), when answered the number hung up straight away. I’m a local business based the other end of the country so I have no reason for a London number to be calling me.
Call centre - Asking about maintenance for living in a council house. I don't live in a council house so don't know how they got my number. After saying this, they politely ended the conversation. If you do live in a council house be cautious for what they are asking
Domestic and General call centre - frequent contacts to try and sell me insurance on and appliance - nuisance calls!
This Asian sounding guy called saying he was from a company called Today's Living, apparently a survey and marketing company he said. He called before 9am. He tried to be persistent and ask me questions but he ended the call when he knew he wasn't getting anywhere with me It is very annoying to be awoken by an unsolicited call in the morning.
SCAM Have fun winding the guys up and only give them fake info to play with them. It's definitely a scam so be aware.

First half the call I thought I was talking to a real person, said they were from some housing repair scheme and said I'd submitted a damage claim. The second I said I had not the voice changed to an automated response in a totally different voice saying Thank you for your time, have a nice day and disconnected.

SCAM This is a text from a scammer who's taking advantage of the legit cost of living payments. It says it's from the gov. website and asks you to click a link to add your bank account details so that they can deposit the amount in your bank, so beware! Anyone who is entitled to any DWP money will automatically have it deposited into their bank account and upon researching this, I was told that DWP will NEVER text or ring you to inform you of your entitlements or ask for any details.

Internet Claimed to be from plusnet....knew my full name and address and said they could get me a better deal. The line was very bad and I found it hard to understand the accent. The send you a text stating that there is an issue with your last Three mobile payment. My 17 year old daughter clicked on the link and 'Updated' her details. A couple of hours later her bank rang her to say she had attempted to purchase car tyres to the value of £650.00 luckily, she only had about £10 in her account at the time. Still very inconvenient having to have her account cancelled and to wait for a new card to be issued.

A female voice, who did not identify herself said that she wanted to speak to the home owner. I told her to ring my landlord. She then rang off. She did not use her name or my name, a typical SCAM attempt which failed as I went off script.
