I had a number of missed calls from this unrecognised number and, because of the recent talk talk hacking incident, I decided to try and find out who it was from instead of calling back. The other comments here seem to suggest it s a marketing cold call so I ll just block the number from future calls.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17734055xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, but also energy schemes - Scottish power. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

We get calls from them every couple of months - typically one to my landline (silence and then the person hangs up) followed by an immediate call to my mobile (which I rarely answer). SCAM / SPAM 02081585440 Lady introduced herself as working for NHS Track and Trace. She seemed to be Phishing for personal information. She said that my child had recently tested positive for Covid19 which is untrue as at no point has my child been tested or has had any symptoms. When looking on the official NHS Track and Trace website the number which showed up on my caller ID didn't match the number available online.
Yep same here. 76017 text says I won 2 milliongbp. All I have to do is send a code and my details, age, address, bank account number and password, and they will only charge me ?£ per text. LOL.
