Have rung me twice after I've spoken to 2 different people requesting they no longer call me and had them confirm my details had been removed from their system.
When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Similar experience to Tuglet ... Caller claimed OH had been getting lots of nuisance calls, I said no, he never picks up the phone unless he knows the number and if our phone does not block them automatically, then I did and put the phone down. Now polite I know but expected the hard sell.

SCAM This number phoned me yesterday, 15th December 2020 at 4.25 pm. Recorded voice saying there is suspicious activity hacking into your Internet and to press 1 to speak to our executive to have it fixed or it will be disconnected at 6pm. Needless to say this is definitely a scam and hoax as everything is completely ok. If this had been an elderly person getting a call like this they would be so worried and would press 1 and pay money. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM AND YOU SHOULD HANG UP AND BLOCK THE NUMBER!!
