I've had these people hassling me for the past few days. I answered initially because of the area code, but have ignored the calls since

Home assistance. Dynamos came and sorted me out.
SCAM / SPAM States its virgin mobile and that my bill wasn't paid. Provided a fake link. When checked virgin account and bank, it had been paid.
SCAM - female voice left a message claiming to be form the Inland revenue, threatening legal action if I do not call back.

This number called at 09.51 but hung up when answer phone activated, as unrecognised the number was blocked by BT call privacy. At 11.23 it bypassed the block and was a latin accent woman stating they were Isus wanting to know about my pension and investments (Isus could easily have been taken as ISA's, dangerous for elderly or hard of hearing). I gave her short shrift but is a dreadful scam for anyone vulnerable. The call has now been blocked on my blocker phone, hoping they don't bypass that.
Called me today, i didn't answer it...Birmingham number allegedly...prob sky tv, tried calling back, unobtainable, another one for the V5000 call blocker..

fed up with up to 3/5 scams calls a day. Most repetitive is this one about my supposedly Amazon account. Some years ago I signed up to have scam calls stopped to my landline, but it has never worked. At 82 some of them are so harassing I find myself continualling checked them out.
