They called at 7.38am claiming to be from Microsoft and wanting to speak to the computer owner. They hung up when I answered no to all their questions about my computer.

Automated call to tell me my "landline and internet were going to be disconnected due to suspicious activity on the network, press 1 to speak to an operative". A quick call to my isp confirmed they have no intention of disconnect anything. DO NOT PRESS 1, or anything else. It is a scam.
