I have just received a call to my mobile phone at 11.15am, Tues 18th August 2020, telling me that I am under suspicion of fraud by yourselves and to press 1 to speak to an advisor. Failure to do so would lead to my arrest etc. etc. As I am aware that HMRC do not make calls of this nature I ended the call and blocked the number which was made from 020 3953 6778. And followed your advice. I am lucky that I consider myself savvy in these situations but i have relatives I know who are not.
cheaper waste - they call daily even though I have blocked their number and leave a voice mail message of silence everyday!

I get numerous repeat calls from this number. I'm not sure who they are. Their calls come several (3 or more in a row - like very urgent).
Repeated calls over the past week, looking at this thread I can tell it s the same issue. 01709 nuisance calls... Haven t picked up yet; reluctant to dignify these heathens with even a single word over the phone.
