Called @ 9.35. Didn't recognise the number so didn't pick up. Apparent London code, but have been getting a stack of scamming calls from Indian call centres over the last few days, so probably yet another attempt to relieve me of my money. Complete wastes of oxygen these people.

A man called my wife claiming that she owed tax and was due to be arrested for ignoring letters. He asked her to confirm her name and address. He terminated the call when she passed the phone to me and I asked for more information about who he was.

01182-308128 -308140 -302112 are all scams. Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! These are computer generated calls searching for voice lines. If you answer "hello" or "anything else", the line will be logged as a 'VOICE LINE' and you'll get called back later by a con-artist! If your phone rings and you don't recognize the number DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anything & the line then goes dead then you've just successfully escaped being scamme

"Bank of Scotland" left concurrently 2 text messages and a voicemail, & phoned from 0333 045 9640. 1st text said "You will shortly receive a text from Bank of Scotland Card Services to confirm recent activity on your card ending xxxx" (the actual numbers on my card). 2nd text said fraudulent purchase of £349 from Apple had been blocked.
