Seems to be scam for sure. After they dialled I’ve had my number spoofed.
HMRC scam call
I asked for details of the crash which he said he couldnt give me because of data protection. Total scam. Indian gentleman.
Told me they were calling as id applied for a loan which had been declined. I haven t applied for any loasns and she kept insisting I had but said she couldn t tell me where id applied due to confidentiality. In the process of buying a house and the only loan id applied for was a mortgage which is already in place so very disconcerting. When I tried to question her she tried to end the call. Clearly a scam.

Had identical calls on other numbers: called them back, never speak to anyone, left on hold for six minutes with classical piano and promises to be put through to the next available agent, then the call disconnects. Never learn who called me though.
