This number calls my elderly parents on their ex-directory number, harassing them about a debt of other 30 years ago with lloyds, which was resolved with lloyds 30 years ago, so is non-existent, this has been explained to them time and time again, they ring on bank holidays, all times of the day and night, up to 20 times a month at one time, I am now looking into taking legal action against them. They also constantly send threatening letters which go straight in the bin, as they have been told if the debt
Safe number
Claims to be a BT technician. Long story short, they say you have viruses on your BT Hub that s causing a security risk and will ask you to install Teamviewer - which will give them remote access to your PC. Needless to say, it s all a scam. Don t do it. Tell them to go to hell instead.
Called a few times, leave no message when voice mail answers. When answered and ask who they are, claim to be from Blackfords London (even though 01737 is a Redhill Surrey number, and their number does not accept incoming calls). One gave his name as James Barker, another as Mr King. I have no idea what Blackfords is. Seems highly dubious. Google search brings up nothing relevant, quite a few others have commented/searched this number.
