A recorded message threatening to cancel my national insurance number due to it being used in connection with “illegal activities”, and demanding that I press 1 to be connected to “an officer” to avoid being arrested. I ignored it, but the call could be very worrying to some people.

Automated message allegedly from TalkTalk saying my IP address had been compromised in several countries and it needed changing, along with the router, press 1 to proceed. I didn t.
