Private number
I was contacted by this number who said they were Carphone Warehouse and I was due an upgrade on my phone. I felt the telemarketer was very friendly but was very pushy. Repeating my details over and over. He then had to phone back to say that my address wasn t on their system and that I needed to phone Orange and update even though I have lived at my address for 34 years and had 3 Orange contracts. Needless to say I told them not to bother.
SCAM / SPAM Automated call claiming to be from HMRC. A tax fraud has been registered in your name. Press 1 to avoid being arrested!!
SPAM
Truecaller dot com shows 447 members have reported as spam. So far 440 calls have been sent to voicemail and not a single message has been left. Suspect these calls originate from a request for life insurance quotation. Google search and another directory site would seem to support that assumption.
Very persistent. Not wanted.

SCAM - received a call from 02089797395 (obviously a spoofed number) - a lady with an Indian accent pretending to be from "UK Mobiles" offering me an unbelievable SIM-only tariff. Led her on for a good 10 minutes just to waste her time, pretending to be elderly and a bit of a technophobe! Asked her to send the details in an email (obviously giving her a non-existent email address!) so I "could discuss it with my grandson" :) SCUM SCUM SCUM SCUM
