These scammers have appeared on BBC Consumer show, they used to trade as Telephone Preference Services but were forced to change it to Telephone Protections Services. On BBC they sent out dud cheques, denied they were the same company and took credit card details under false pretences; they said they needed card to verify whether they had dealt with the customer before, the customer had already been duped into buying a unit which failed, so he wanted a replacement. They then charged him for a 2nd unit.
