Cold Call stating "urgent news about your pension bonus Press 5 to process your bonus now" What a load of "Jackson" I hope nobody falls for this one.
An Indian sounding gentleman on a very bad line, claimed to be calling me from Currys PCWorld with a promotion to upgrade my cellphone (his term) for no charge, could I just confirm what phone I currently had? As I do not have a mobile contract through Currys PCWorld I knew this was a scam call and hung up.
fake fake fake scam scam scam.... they are pretending to be representing the UK benefits people and offering free, new, replacement boilers. This is rubbish. All they are trying to do is get your financial information so they can steal off you. DO NOT give them any personal information. Report to ICO. The more people who report to ICO the quicker they will be stopped. I have had 200 calls from them in the last 3 months. Each time the same rubbish, nonsense story about benefits and how I can get free boiler.

01322 381 002 (Dartford no.) - Indian lady calling from Virgin Media (apparently) about my broadband. Said I didn't have Virgin & then the line went dead. Surprise, surprise.
This number called me this morning stating that they wanted to give me money and worked for the national fed of insurers to give people with at fault minor crashes compenstation! They proceeded to tell me that I'd been in a collision around 2 years ago with no major injuries but seeing as I was the person at fault then people don't know that they are able to claim for personal costs too even though they are at fault. Don't give them any info - it's an obvious SCAM!

says the call is coming from DVLA for a tax refund and asks that a website link is followed - naturally - don t follow it. text reads ive been trying to contact you.. please click below for more details http://tax-disc.dvla.gov.uk.info31.pw/claim.html
