They are a debt collection company who have purchased your debt from Lloyds or HSBC Etc for less than you owe and are trying to get the money and will be very persistent. If you haven t missed any payments to your bank then nothing they can do. Just tell them to send something to you in writing as you do not give out information over the phone - I have done this and never received any letters.
